Casa Calma is situated in the urbanisation La Siesta 5 kms by car from central Torrevieja. The location is exceptionel between the two salt lakes Laguna Salada de la Mata (the green lake) and Laguna Salada de la Torrevieja (the pink lake).
"It is no wonder Torrevieja has been voted by the World Health Organisation as one of the healthiest places in the world to live. The reason for this is Torrevieja is surrounded by two of Europe’s largest salt lakes known as Laguna de la Mata and the Salinas de San Miguel. The high concentration of salt, together with the temperature forms what the experts call a "micro-climate" unique to this area and just a few others around the world."
In our quarter of La Siesta most of the buildings are back-to-back terraced houses built in the late 80's. Casa Calma has the ever so important advantage of being an end house with windows, french balconies and terraces facing south and west.
There are three outdoor terraces:
On the ground floor facing the narrow street is the entrance terrace of 15 sqm's. There we find the barbeque and a dining furniture group.
On the second floor outside the living room we have the "sun terrace" of 10 sqm's and a group of furnitures. In windy conditions this is the place to relax and enjoy the view to the city some miles away.
On the third floor we find "the solarium" - a large roof terrace measuring 42 sqm's and with view to all four corners of the world. From here you see the mountains to the north, the pink salt lake to the west, the city to the south and the natural reserve to the east. Almost 10 meters above the street level you can enjoy sun from early morning to late evening here. On hot days you will find fresh air flows.
